    Steps to enable your mobile workforce, today

    By Nebula | Business Strategy, cloud computing, Digitalisation, Featured, Mobile, Mobility | 2 comments | 7 April, 2020 | 0

    At the beginning of March, Twitter’s human resources chief Jennifer Christie announced that all Twitter staff globally have been ordered to work from home in an attempt to stop the spread of the coronavirus. “We understand this is an unprecedented step, but these are unprecedented times,” said Christie. “We’re a global service and we’re committed to enabling anyone, anywhere to work at Twitter,” she added. The rise of the mobile workforce is being experienced throughout.

    While Twitter, and others, have successfully established their mobile workforce rhythm, we at Nebula are doing our best to help our employees and our clients to do the same. Our priority is to ensure that our employees are equipped and supported during our transition to a more mobile workforce. Nebula’s IT and HR teams are doing their best to enable our mobile workforce and help them to maintain productivity with minimal disruption.

    Some of the steps we’re taking to get this right include:

    Boosting visibility: We need a holistic, live overview of what our mobile workforce is doing. With notifications of usage per user, as well as companywide usage reports, we can make quicker and more effective decisions to support remote work.

    Rethinking capacity: By streamlining your operations, you’re cutting costs and saving precious time. Now is the time to identify and reallocate dormant lines and to integrate with service providers so that you can eliminate any potential lag time. As more employees work remotely, it’s important to be able to order new SIM cards, enable RICA compliance and conduct SIM-swaps without any hassle.

    Keen to help other South African businesses maintain efficiency amid all the uncertainty, Nebula is offering businesses that are not already using OneView® an extended free trial period (Terms and Conditions apply). As part of this offer, we will:

    • Set you up on OneView® and give you and your direct team access;
    • Activate live data feeds from service provider/s;
    • Send out notifications to administrators and users (as needed);
    • Ensure you have sufficient capacity and contracts/connectivity to ensure your users are able to work remotely.

    In times of chaos, we are here to help. The extension to our OneView® trial is intended to help your business stay connected no matter what. Complete the form below to find out more.
