Here’s a look at why IT spend is on the increase

Over half of IT leaders are increasing their IT budgets; even in organisations where leadership are pushing for greater efficiency and cost savings when it comes to new technology projects. This is according to a Harvey Nash/KPMG’s 2019 survey. In conversations with more than 3 600 CIOs and technology leaders around the world, Harvey Nash and KPMG found that enterprises of all sizes and across all industries have to come up with strategies to manage this increase in technology as market disruptors set new standards for what customers expect. The Harvey Nash/KPMG survey revealed that even the most conservative organisations are investing heavily in IT.

As organisations become consumers of technology, rather than owners of technology, there is a greater willingness to up IT spend in an effort to reap the benefits that go hand-in-hand with digital transformation.

According to a recent TechRepublic survey, the Internet of Things (IoT), security, cloud services, internal hardware and software purchases, digital transformation and training current employees are top budget priorities today and into 2020. Rather than just trying to make the most of the amount of money you have, your budget allocations should align with your IT strategy. “In short, every line on the budget should tell a story that maps back to your IT strategy,” TechRepublic writes. But managing all of these resources and maintaining a clear picture of your tech environment can be complicated.

OneView is our premier enterprise Technology Expense Management system that gives you the capability to automate the management of your mobile, fixed-line, WAN and cloud usage. Allowing you to track spend, performance and make the most out of your tech investments. What does this mean for your business? It means having systems in place to track and cloud consumption, outline how costs should be recovered and identify any cloud services you are being billed for but no longer use.

And it also means that businesses who are outsourcing their technology needs to external service providers can achieve the level of visibility and control they require. OneView is also the solution you need to keep tabs on all of the corporate-issued hardware your employees are using.

OneView allows you to make the most technology, and reign in your IT spend, without the risks. Keen to learn more? Simply complete the form below and we’ll be in touch.
