The Telecoms Optimisation Programme examines selected technology scope areas and identifies areas for improvement in either the provision of services or the costs of those services as well as managing the implementation of these improvements.
The completion of a Telecoms Baseline Profile® is required in order to conduct a Telecoms Optimisation Program for the following main optimisation categories:
Cost Optimisation
Costs Optimisation examines the following:
- Ownership
- Capacity
- Management
Service Optimisation
Service Optimisation looks at improving the service experienced by the user this may also have the result of lowering the overall “cost” of telecoms to the business through an improvement in availability and reliability.
Architecture Optimisation
Architecture Optimisation looks at improving the performance of Telecommunications-related components by analysing and possibly modifying the way in which they communicate with other Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture components.
It also ensures that the implemented Telecoms architecture can meet the required business service level objectives, and has the capability to scale effectively and efficiently.
