Junior Technical Support Specialist

Nebula seeks a candidate to take on the challenging role of Junior Technical Support Specialist . The incumbent will provide an effective service delivery service to a client at a site and ensures that all service requests and incidents are resolved expeditiously, with a high level of expertise and professionalism to the complete satisfaction of the client.

Functional competency requirements:

  • Grade 12 and ICT certification in any of the telecommunications technologies;
  • 1 year experience within the telecommunications industry;
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of the MS Suite of products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Key Performance Areas - Service Delivery:

  • Attending to the programming of systems;
  • Handling service requests from the client and ensuring that these are resolved in a timely manner to the complete satisfaction of the client;
  • Investigating any incidents that are escalated for resolution and providing feedback to all relevant stakeholders on progress made;
  • Compiling service delivery reports as required;
  • Providing information to Shared Support Services when required and in a timely manner;
  • Advising the client on bandwidth requirements to support the desired telecommunications infrastructure and network;
  • Recommending areas in which the systems can be improved on site to secure costs savings for the client or additional value adds;
  • Maintaining an asset register
