Nebula is actively participating in and pursuing the objectives of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment. We continuously expand our BEE footprint by directing resources to various stakeholders of our business.
The employees of Nebula currently benefit from a diversified staff composition (embracing our differences), development programmes (expanding our skills base) and sharing in the ownership of Nebula (sharing in the profitability of the Company), which we believe are critical to the future growth and success of any business and as such the local economy.
We contribute towards various organisations, assisting the poorest of the poor in our immediate community, as well as on a national scale. Our contributions currently focus on research on health related issues, supporting the training of women to sustain themselves and their families by becoming skilled in a trade and education, to young people who have fallen behind in their education or who battle to cope in the mainstream education system.
We further encourage our suppliers to join us on the journey of transformation, which in the long-run may be part of the answer towards creating an integrated society. Today, more than 50% of our spending on suppliers is with suppliers who participate in the objectives of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment.
By following a holistic approach towards B-BBEE, we create a stable and sustainable business environment to our shareholders and stakeholders. For more information on our transformation initiatives, contact Laurie Jimerson at laurie@nebula.co.za.
